Frankfurt and Berlin based conceptual artist Tobias Rehberger (*1966) studied at Staatliche Hchschule für bildende Kunst Städelschule Frankfurt A. M., where he currently serves as a professor. His artistic work ranges from space installations and wall paintings to furniture designs and ceiling decoration. His practice cannot be pinned down to any single medium.
The public can in most cases “walk into” Rehberger’s works which oscillate between functionality and uselessness, removing the nimbus of the untouchable art work. His work has been commissioned, amongst others, for the visitors restaurant at the “Deutsche Bundestag” in Berlin.
