Since 1999 Dr. Paul-Bernhard Kallen is Member of the Board (Technology, Treasury) at Hubert Burda Media. Amongst others he has been in charge for Burda Digital where a variety of Internet companies have been built and acquired. Dr. Kallen has overseen the creation of a digital venture portfolio which today comprises numerous market leaders.
Before joining Burda in 1996 as managing director of a variety of group companies, he worked for McKinsey & Company, Inc. where he became partner in 1993. From 1986 – 1988, he served as assistant to the CEO at PHB Weserhütte AG. Dr. Kallen holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Cologne, and received a Master of Economics at the University of Bonn.
