Dr. Marcus Englert studied physics at the University of Munich before earning his doctorate at CERN, the European nuclear research institute in Geneva.
From 1994 to 1998, he was a consultant with Boston Consulting Group in Munich and in 1996, he earned an MBA at INSEAD, the European business institute in Fontainebleau, near Paris. In 1998, he assumed the general directorship at ProSieben Digital Media in Munich, and from 2000 to 2001, he was a member of the Executive Board at Kirch New Media AG. He has been Managing Director at SevenOne Intermedia since 2001, and the ProSiebenSat.1 Group’s New Media and Diversification Director since 2004.
Dr. Marcus Englert has been member of the Executive Board at ProSiebenSat.1 Media AG since August 2006.
