Christian Angermayer (29) is founder and one of five operating partners of Angermayer, Brumm & Lange Unternehmensgruppe (ABL), one of Germany´s largest and fastest growing independent financial services groups.
Via several subsidiaries, ABL is active in the fields of asset management, product distribution and investment banking. The firm employs 400 employees and manages total assets of approximately € 4.7 billion.
Within the partnership, Christian is an entrepreneur, who started his first business at the age of 14. In 1998 – during the second week of his first semester at university – he founded VCH Investment Group, the first asset management company which built the starting point of today’s diversified financial group.
ABL’s asset management subsidiary Altira AG has just founded one of the very first European private equity boutiques focusing on the African continent. Target volume by the end of 2008 is some € 100 million. The investment focus by sector is banking and financial services, IT services und real estate and by region East Africa, especially Rwanda. Altira AG pursues an active fund management policy with an entrepreneurial focus. The team consists of experienced international specialists in industry and consulting.
